About the Destination:

Brahmatal is a hidden gem in the Lap of Garhwal Himalayas and is not discover by majority of people which adds a charm in it. Nestling virgin beauty of trekking trails, Oak – Rhododendron forest which filled with the variety of flora and fauna and its two frozen lakes.

Brahmatal is the perfect trek for the snow lover and adventure seeker. Brahmatal is only a trekking destination available for the month of December, January, February, and March.

Mountains have incomparable night and alliterated glory and the same is with Brahmatal. One cannot predict about its weather

This trek can be done by the First timer, who is willing to touch the nature presence, who all join this trek must be physically fit.

Brahmatal Trek is best for all the year to visit. Best seasons include December to March, Expect trekking on the snow in the mid of December. During winters, Brahmatal covered in thick blanket of snow ideal for skiers. Best time in summer to experience Brahmatal includes April to June.

What is included in the tour

  • Accommodation in standard rooms in a family-run guesthouse in Leh on single/double occupancy
  • High Quality Camping Arrangements
  • Toilet tent with portable toilet seats

  • Charges of 2 guides (for the group of maximum 12 trekkers so 1 guide for 6 group members)
  • All meals starting from dinner on the Day 1 till breakfast on Day 9. (8 Dinners, 8 Breakfasts, 7 Lunches)  We have a system of providing 6 small meals along with tea/coffee in between.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival to Lohajung.

Altitude Gain: 7,660 ft.

Stay in guest house

Scenic drive passing through two confluences of Ganges

Explore local market in the evening

 

Day 2: Lohajung to Bekaltal.

Distance – 6 km

Duration – 3-4 hrs by trek

Altitude Gain: 9,690 ft.

Passing through the dense jungle of conifer, Cedar, Oak and Fir

Startling views of the Nanda Ghunti

Exploring Kali valley marked by the confluence of Kali and Pindar River

Amidst thick oak forests, Lake and Rare flora fauna

Explore the area nearby Bekaltal

Day 3: Bekaltal to Brahmatal.

Distance – 7 km.

Duration – 6 hrs by trek

Altitude Gain: 10,450 ft.

Exploring a place where Lord Brahma meditated for years.

Passing through the dense jungle of Oak & Rhododendron to meadows of Telandi top

Enjoy scintillating views of the mighty Garhwal Himalaya ranges

Explore nearby area of frozen Brahmatal

Day 4: Brahmatal to Tilbudi via Brahmatal Pass

Distance – 7 kms

Duration – 4-5 hrs by trek

Altitude Gain: 12,250 ft.

Passing through some treacherous Chota Jhandidar and Bada Jhandidar

Startling views of the Nanda Ghunti, Mt. Trishul Chaukhambha, Mandi & Maiktoli

Amidst thick oak and Rhododendron forests
